Audition for The Rover by Aphra Behn at MHCC!

A prepared monologue is appreciated, but not required for auditions.

Auditions will compose of individual reading, reading with other actors, and an optional musical audition. If you sing or play a musical instrument, we want to hear you!

Please download and familiarize yourself with the sides below. The language might be difficult, so make sure to look up words you don’t understand!

Your audition sides are the parts you will be reading at auditions. You do not need to memorize these, but it would be a good idea to be familiar with them so you aren’t reading completely cold!

AUDITION TIPS

A good warmup for auditions for any play, but especially this one, are tongue twisters! Click here to download a .pdf collection of useful warmup tongue twisters.

Be big vocally and physically! Don’t just say the lines on the paper, use your body to help tell the story! Break a leg and I’ll see you at auditions!
